Magpie
Shot on location in Whitby over two, five day periods in the winter of 2005/6 with a few additional days picking up the other shots, this is the second recipe book I have illustrated with my food photography. Anyone visiting Whitby will have seen the queues of people stretching along the harbour front and leading to The Magpie Cafe. This book is the answer as to why the queue is so long to this famous seaside fish and chip shop, it's not just fish and chips.
All the images were shot digitally and had post production work undertaken on them afterwards. In addition to the time spent on location photography, another four weeks were spent selecting and enhancing the images before they were handed over to the publisher. It was printed in 2006.
